Strong public schools are so important to the success of everyone in the City of Los Angles, whether or not your children attend public school.
Strong public schools bring parents and children together and strengthen neighborhoods. Strong public schools provide employers with an educated workforce today global economy. Most importantly, strong public schools give very child a chance to achieve the American Dream.
Robyn will use her experience improving her local school to make the city a stronger partner with the public schools.
With three kids in public school, Robyn has first-hand knowledge of the problems facing the school district.
Robyn supports an expanded city commitment to afterschool programs. The LA’s BEST afterschool program gives kids enrichment and a safe place to go afterschool, keeping them off the streets and out of trouble.
Robyn would bring her experience working for the Chamber of Commerce to building partnerships with business to provide practical experience for students and better prepare them for college or careers.

Robyn Ritter Simon supports LA Mayor Villaraigosa's 'Million Trees Initiative.' Greening of the 5th District is a priority for Ritter Simon.
Transportation
