Transportation
  • As Los Angeles grows, traffic congestion gets worse.  Commuters have less time with their families and businesses spend more time and money delivering goods and services.   
  • Relieving traffic congestion needs to be a higher priority at City Hall.  
  • To reduce traffic congestion, Robyn supports expanding mass transit and common sense traffic programs.  She was a supporter of Measure R, the November 2008 transportation funding ballot measure approved by voters.
  • Robyn is a strong advocate of building the Expo Line light rail that will serve our district and the “subway to the sea.”  Combined, they will ease commutes by providing alternatives between downtown and the Westside.
  • Robyn supports extension of the Orange Line in the Valley which has been a success, exceeding ridership projections.
  • Robyn will continue to push for cost-effective, common sense traffic solutions such as more left turn lanes and timed traffic lights.
  • Robyn will listen to community concerns before proposing new traffic solutions and work with affected neighborhoods to reduce congestion without damaging neighborhoods.
 

 

Environment

Robyn Ritter Simon supports LA Mayor Villaraigosa's 'Million Trees Initiative.' Greening of the 5th District is a priority for Ritter Simon.

 

Transportation
