  • Keeping our neighborhoods safe is one of the most important services city government provides.  Robyn believes that our top priority for city funding must be public safety.
  • To keep making progress in reducing crime, Robyn supports the effort to expand the number of officers in the LAPD and  putting more cops on the beat. Expanding the force must continue to be a top priority for city funding, even in tough budget times.
  • Robyn supports aggressive measures to crack down on gang violence.  We need to continue the use of gang injunctions and other tools to reduce gang violence.
  • City government should continue to emphasize gang prevention programs, such as afterschool programs, to keep kids off the streets and out of gangs.
  • Community-based gang prevention programs that have demonstrated their effectiveness deserve continued support, to keep kids out of gangs.
  • Robyn supports Chief Bratton’s emphasis on improved training and better compensation and benefits packages to retain our current police officers. Increasing retention will allow us to expand the force more quickly.
